Delivery Shipper Program

Last-Mile Delivery Shipper

Everything you need to know about becoming a delivery partner

What is a Last-Mile Delivery Shipper?

A Last-Mile Delivery Shipper is an independent delivery partner who helps Trooworths deliver orders to customers in villages, remote communities, and hard-to-reach areas where traditional courier services like GIG Logistics, DHL, or FedEx cannot operate efficiently.

As a shipper, you use your local knowledge of the terrain, roads, and communities to ensure packages reach customers who would otherwise be unable to enjoy online shopping. You're the crucial link between our logistics network and the end customer.

Areas We Need Shippers:

  • Rural villages and farming communities
  • Remote local government areas (LGAs)
  • Areas with poor road infrastructure
  • Communities far from major towns and cities
  • Island communities and riverine areas

How It Works

  1. Receive Delivery Assignments:
When orders are placed for delivery in your coverage area, you'll receive a notification through the Trooworths Affiliate App with package details and delivery address.
  2. Pick Up Packages:
Collect packages from a designated hub point (usually a Collection Merchant's shop or a Trooworths partner location in the nearest town).
  3. Deliver to Customers:
Use your knowledge of the local area to deliver packages to customers. Confirm delivery with customer signature or OTP verification in the app.
  4. Handle Cash on Delivery (if applicable):
For COD orders, collect payment from the customer and remit to Trooworths through the app.
  5. Get Paid:
Earnings are calculated automatically and paid to your bank account every week.

Requirements to Become a Shipper

  • Trooworths Account: You must have a registered and verified Trooworths account
  • Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old
  • Valid ID: Government-issued identification (National ID, Driver's License, Voter's Card, or Passport)
  • Transportation: Own or have access to a motorcycle, bicycle, tricycle (keke), or vehicle
  • Smartphone: Android or iOS smartphone with internet access to use our delivery app
  • Bank Account: Nigerian bank account in your name for receiving payments
  • Local Knowledge: Familiarity with villages and communities in your coverage area
  • Guarantor: One guarantor (community leader, employer, or known professional)

For Motorcycle/Vehicle Owners:

  • Valid driver's license (for motorcycles and vehicles)
  • Vehicle registration documents
  • Proof of insurance (optional but recommended)

Nearby Villages (5-15km) ₦400 - ₦800

  • Peak Period Bonus: 1.5x earnings during festive seasons and high-demand periods
Example: A shipper completing 5 deliveries per day at an average of ₦600 each can earn approximately ₦3,000/day or ₦18,000/week (6 days), plus bonuses!
Collection Merchant Program

Collection Point Merchant

Everything you need to know about becoming a collection point partner

What is a Collection Point Merchant?

A Collection Point Merchant is a shop owner in a village or remote area who partners with Trooworths to use their shop as an official order pickup location for customers in the surrounding geographical area.

Instead of customers waiting for home delivery (which can be challenging in remote areas), they can choose to pick up their orders from your shop at their convenience. This is similar to how major cities have pickup stations, but tailored for rural communities.

Ideal Shop Types:

  • Provision stores and mini-marts
  • Phone/electronics shops
  • Pharmacy and patent medicine stores
  • Tailoring and fashion shops
  • Business centres and printing shops
  • Any well-located shop with regular operating hours

How It Works

  1. Receive Packages:
Packages for customers in your coverage area are delivered to your shop by our logistics partners or Shipper Affiliates. You'll receive notification through the app.
  2. Store Packages Safely:
Keep packages in a secure location in your shop. Each package has a unique code and customer details for easy identification.
  3. Customer Pickup:
When a customer comes to collect their order, verify their identity using the pickup code sent to their phone. Mark as collected in the app.
  4. Handle Cash on Delivery (if applicable):
For COD orders, collect payment from the customer and remit to Trooworths.
  5. Get Paid:
Earn commission on every order collected from your shop, paid weekly to your bank.

Requirements to Become a Collection Merchant

  • Trooworths Account: You must have a registered and verified Trooworths account
  • Physical Shop: A shop or store with a fixed location (not mobile/temporary)
  • Operating Hours: Shop must be open at least 6 days a week, minimum 8 hours daily
  • Storage Space: Adequate secure space to store packages (at least a shelf or cabinet)
  • Valid ID: Government-issued identification of the shop owner
  • Smartphone: Android or iOS smartphone with internet access
  • Bank Account: Nigerian bank account for receiving payments
  • Shop Photos: Clear photos of your shop (exterior and interior)

Preferred (Not Required):

  • CAC Business Registration
  • Shop lease agreement or ownership documents
  • Reference from community leader or local authority

Collection Merchant Earnings

Earn commission on every order that customers collect from your shop. The more orders you handle, the more you earn!

Service Earnings
Per Order Collected (Standard) ₦100 - ₦200
Per Order Collected (Large/Heavy Items) ₦200 - ₦500
COD Handling Fee (per transaction) ₦50 - ₦100
Extended Storage Fee (after 7 days) ₦50/day

Bonus Incentives:

  • Monthly Volume Bonus: ₦2,000 - ₦10,000 based on total orders handled
  • Customer Rating Bonus: Extra ₦1,000/month for 4.5+ star rating
  • Referral Bonus: ₦500 for each new merchant you refer who gets approved
  • Trooworths Branding: Free signage and marketing materials for your shop
Example: A collection point handling 10 orders per day at an average of ₦150 each can earn approximately ₦1,500/day or ₦9,000/week, plus monthly bonuses. This is passive income while running your regular business!

Coverage Area

As a Collection Point Merchant, you'll be assigned a geographical coverage area based on your shop's location. This means customers within that area will see your shop as their pickup option.

Typical Coverage:

  • Primary Zone (0-5km radius): Your immediate village/community
  • Secondary Zone (5-15km radius): Nearby villages and settlements
  • Extended Zone (if no other merchants): Up to 25km radius

Coverage areas are determined by Trooworths based on population density, existing merchant locations, and customer demand. In areas with high demand, we may approve multiple merchants with overlapping coverage.
