Creating Your Account
Joining Trooworths is quick, easy, and free! Here's how to create your account:
Option 1: Sign Up with Email
- Click "Sign Up" or "Create Account" in the navigation bar
- Enter your full name and email address
- Create a strong password (minimum 8 characters)
- Enter your phone number for order updates
- Click "Create Account"
- Verify your email address by clicking the link sent to your inbox
Option 2: Sign Up with Social Media [COMING SOON]
For faster registration, you can sign up using your existing social media accounts:
- Google: Sign up with your Google account
- Facebook: Connect with your Facebook profile
Tip: Use an email address you check regularly to receive order updates,
delivery notifications, and exclusive offers!
Managing Your Profile
Keep your profile information up-to-date to ensure smooth shopping and delivery experiences.
Profile Information You Can Update:
- Full Name (First & Last)
- Date of Birth
- Gender (optional)
- Profile Photo
- Email Address
- Phone Number (Primary)
- Alternative Phone Number
- WhatsApp Number
How to Update Your Profile:
- Sign in to your Trooworths account
- Click on your account icon and select "My Account"
- Navigate to "Profile" or "Personal Information"
- Click "Edit" next to the information you want to change
- Make your changes and click "Save"
Address Book
Save multiple addresses for convenient checkout. You can store delivery addresses
for home, office, or any other location.
Address Types:
Home Address: Your primary residential address
Office Address: Workplace delivery address
Friend/Family: Send gifts to loved ones
Custom Address: Any other delivery location
Address Information Required:
- Full Name: Recipient's name for the delivery
- Phone Number: Contact number for delivery updates
- Street Address: House/building number and street name
- City/Town: City or town name
- State: Nigerian state (e.g., Lagos, Abuja FCT)
- Landmark (Optional): Nearby landmark for easier delivery
Managing Addresses:
- Add New Address: Click "Add New Address" and fill in the details
- Set Default: Mark an address as default for faster checkout
- Edit Address: Update any saved address details
- Delete Address: Remove addresses you no longer need
Important: Always double-check your delivery address before placing an order.
Incorrect addresses may cause delivery delays or failed deliveries.

Protect your account with our security features. We recommend regularly updating
your password and enabling all available security options.

Password Management:
- Change Password: Update your password regularly for security
- Password Requirements:
- Minimum 8 characters
- At least one uppercase letter
- At least one lowercase letter
- At least one number
- Special characters recommended (!@#$%^&*)
- Forgot Password: Click "Forgot Password" on the login page to reset via email
Security Features:
Receive email or SMS notifications whenever your account is accessed from a new device or location.
View a history of recent logins including device type, location, and time. Report suspicious activity.
Security Tips:
- Never share your password with anyone
- Use a unique password for your Trooworths account
- Log out when using shared or public computers
- Report suspicious emails claiming to be from Trooworths
- Keep your email account secure as it's linked to password recovery
Notification Preferences
Control what notifications you receive and how you receive them. Stay informed
about orders, deals, and account activity.
Notification Types:
Order Updates: Confirmation, shipping, delivery
Promotions: Sales, discounts, special offers
Product Updates: Back in stock, price drops
Security Alerts: Login attempts, password changes
Newsletter: New arrivals, tips, trends
Reviews: Reminders to review purchased items
Notification Channels:
- Email: Detailed notifications sent to your email
- SMS: Quick text alerts for important updates
- WhatsApp: Order updates via WhatsApp (if enabled)
- Push Notifications: In-app and browser notifications
How to Manage Notifications:
- Go to "My Account" → "Notification Settings"
- Toggle each notification type on or off
- Choose your preferred channels for each notification type
- Click "Save Preferences"
Your Wishlist
Save products you love to your wishlist and purchase them later. It's also
perfect for creating gift lists to share with friends and family!
Wishlist Features:
- Save Items: Click the heart icon on any product to add it to your wishlist
- Price Alerts: Get notified when wishlist items go on sale
- Stock Alerts: Know when out-of-stock items become available
- Easy Shopping: Move items directly from wishlist to cart
- Share Wishlist: Share your wishlist link with others for gift ideas
- Multiple Lists: Create separate wishlists for different occasions
Managing Your Wishlist:
- Access your wishlist from "My Account" → "Wishlist"
- Remove items by clicking the heart icon again or the remove button
- Add items to cart directly from your wishlist
- Sort by date added, price, or availability
Payment Methods
Manage your saved payment methods for faster checkout. All payment information
is encrypted and stored securely.
Accepted Payment Methods:
Debit/Credit Cards: Visa, Mastercard, Verve
Bank Transfer: Direct bank payment
USSD: Pay with bank USSD codes
Mobile Money: Pay via mobile wallet
Saving Payment Methods:
For security reasons, we don't store your full card details. Instead, we use
tokenization through our secure payment partners. You can:
- Save cards for faster checkout (last 4 digits shown only)
- Set a default payment method
- Remove saved payment methods anytime
- Add new payment methods during checkout
Secure Payments: All transactions are protected with industry-standard
SSL encryption and processed through trusted payment gateways.
Closing Your Account
We'd hate to see you go, but if you need to close your account, here's what you
need to know:
Before You Close Your Account:
- Ensure all pending orders are delivered or cancelled
- Download any invoices or receipts you need
- Use or transfer any store credit or gift card balance
- Check for any pending returns or refunds
What Happens When You Close Your Account:
- Your personal data will be deleted within 30 days
- Order history will be retained for legal/tax purposes (anonymized)
- Any unused store credit will be forfeited
- Wishlists and saved items will be permanently deleted
- You can create a new account with the same email in the future
How to Close Your Account:
- Go to "My Account" → "Settings"
- Scroll down to "Close Account"
- Select a reason for leaving (optional)
- Confirm by entering your password
- Click "Close My Account"
Alternative: If you just want to take a break, you can simply stop
using your account. We'll keep it safe for when you return!
